Review: Broadway Pizza and Grill

Published on May 13, 2012 by in Reviews

Long beach is the second largest city in Los Angeles County. It’s home to one of the largest seaports in the country and down town is a favorite destination for foodies and partiers alike. Located on Broadway near Pine avenue, in the heart of Down Town Long Beach is the Broadway Pizza and Grill. It’s a cool little place who welcomes its patrons with open arms, sports a cool collection of beer and makes one of the best Bacon Cheese Burgers I’ve had in a very long time.  And don’t get me started on their oatmeal cookies. All I’ll say about those, is being a man with the dietary preferences of a child, those delectable little pieces of fun actually speak to me.

Broadway Pizza and Grill of course makes pizza. On the menu you’ll find Southwestern Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Cheese Burger and even Ravioli pizza. Of course I’m an avowed meat-a-tarian so the meat lover’s pizza is my personal favorite. But you get the idea.

The atmosphere is light and airy with a local pizza joint feel. The staff are inviting, friendly, VERY accommodating, the place is always very clean, and they will gladly engage you in meaningless chit-chat and compliment your cologne too. They are clearly a tolerant bunch since they let a jack-ass like me in the place. This is a must-visit spot.

As if good eats weren’t enough, these folks also discount their pizza-by-the-slice late at night so the local, not so well-off, folks can enjoy their stuff as well. How cool is that? Good peeps, good food, and civic conscience. The right combination to earn recognition from Bad Boys Cooking. Broadway Pizza and Grill is hereby recognized as a Bad Boys Cooking favorite.

You can find them on Facebook here - tell a friend.

Bon appétit
